I am an accredited Exercise Scientist and have been have been coaching in the fitness industry for the past 4 years in private and commercial gyms. I graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland recently (2018). I have a passion for strength training and training for performance optimisation in sport. I am currently the head Strength and Conditioning coach for the Brisbane Lions U18s Women’s Academy and assist female AFL youth athletes in movement, strength and power development.
My role at South Bank Tri Club is to assist triathletes/endurance runners in strength, power and mobility enhancement as well as injury management. I coach one strength session per week with a focus on fundamental movement patterns, correct movement execution, stability and activation work. In addition to this, I offer private consultations, coaching and programming for a variety of goals, including more specific performance enhancement, late-stage injury management, body composition and general health and wellness.
My coaching philosophy is based around the concept of strength and movement literacy as fundamental in sport performance, injury prevention and all things health and wellness.
