Run + South Bank parkrun

Leaving Cowch at 6am – West End river run, out for 27 minutes and then turn back. Join the parkrun crowd at 6:55am for an easy parkrun. Don’t forget your barcode. For those not on the long course training plan, just an easy 5km parkrun.

Enoggera Dam swim

Meet up for an afternoon swim in the dam, advisable to wear a wet suit. Swim 1-2km (laps from yellow markers to markers) making sure you have a buddy for water safety.

Hilly Burbank loops

Meet at Burbank – Cnr Mt Cotton Rd & Cherbon St. Distances and start time vary depending on which training program you’re following:1) 5:45am – LONG COURSE GROUP Ride 3-4 loops (24km each) @25km/hr avg 2) 6:15am – OLYMPIC/SPRINT GROUP Ride 2-3 loops (24km each) @22km/hr avg Focus of this session is building strength and endurance. Practice good technique when climbing.

Jordan Schouten is SBTC's new functional strength coach. She will be running the Monday morning Functional Strength sessions - now at Musgrave Park. Jordan has been coaching and personal training for the last 10 years and has completed her Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science, and will shortly finish her Masters in Strength and Conditioning. She is also a previous SBTC member who understands our training needs.
